2017 National Training Conference

The 2017 Bikeability annual conference took place Tuesday 9th & Wednesday 10th May.

This year, for the first time, the conference was held over 2 days, with a guided bike ride and opening drinks reception at a local restaurant / bar (Kardomah94) hosted by Hull City Council & First Step Sports on the evening of Tuesday 9th May.

Delegates had a chance to explore Hull during it’s City of Culture year and network with other delegates.

The TABS conference was held in the grand setting of  The Guildhall, Hull, with a series of parallel workshops running throughout the day, covering a wide range of topics.  This year the workshops were longer (90 rather than 60 minutes) to enable more detailed discussion per session.

174 delegates (a broad mix of local authorities, independent instructors, schemes and cycling organisations) attended the event.  Estuary TV, Humber Radio and BBC turned up to cover the event.

The conference was possible thanks to generous sponsorship from First Step Sports and Hull City Council. TABS are very grateful for their support!
