Our objectives

TABS is a trade association which works with the Department for Transport to ensure the highest quality of delivery of Bikeability cycle training. TABS aims to work in the interest of Bikeability schemes, and represents the view of the professional cycle training industry in discussions and decision-making activities with Government agencies and other public bodies.

TABS immediate aim is to give children the confidence and skills to cycle more safely on the road as a result of Bikeability training, with an ultimate aim being to get more people taking trips by bike more often and more safety.

How we are funded

In 2015.16, as our membership has grown, TABS is 100% funded through membership fees.

During our set up, TABS is proud to have had our membership income subsidised with grants from:

  • The Department for Transport
  • The Bike Hub for £10,000 towards our core costs. Bike Hub is a levy scheme operated by the Bicycle Association.
