Below are some of the key, recent activities that TABS has undertaken:


  • TABS secured funding to run the national schools Bikeability survey for a second year (also including schools in Scotland), gathering important longitudinal data. Results to follow.
  • TABS contributed to a Hazards Perception study, designed to test the hypothesis that Bikeability improves children’s ability to perceive and appropriately respond to on-road hazards faced by people who cycle.   To read more about the key findings click here.   • TABS released the 2014 Bikeability School Travel Survey report (England), which was a collaboration between Dr Michael Frearson, Director (TABS) and Dr Paul Hewson, Associate Professor in Statistics, School of Computing and Mathematics, University of Plymouth.   • TABS established a series of Task and Finish Groups, comprising of members, partner organisations, experts, local authorities to produced best-practice guidance notes on a range of issues.
